SDGs 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) aims to ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all by 2030. Key global targets for this goal include:

1. Universal Access: Ensure access to affordable and modern energy services.

2. Renewable Energy: Significantly increase the share of renewable energy in the global energy mix.

3. Energy Efficiency: Double the rate of improvement in energy efficiency globally.

4. Infrastructure & Technology: Expand infrastructure and improve technology to provide sustainable energy services in developing countries.

Indonesia is accelerating the energy transition through several national strategic steps:

1. Just Energy Transition (JETP): Mobilize international funding through the Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP) scheme to accelerate the phase-out of coal-fired power plants and build clean energy plants.

2. Large-Scale Renewable Energy Development: Accelerate strategic projects such as Floating Solar Power Plants (e.g., Cirata) and geothermal utilization to achieve the 23% New and Renewable Energy (EBT) mix target by 2025.

3. Village Electrification: A program to increase the Electrification Ratio through the construction of micro-hydro power plants and communal solar panels in the 3T (Frontier, Outermost, and Disadvantaged) regions.

4. Electric Vehicle (EV) Ecosystem: Provide incentives for electric vehicle adoption and build charging infrastructure (SPKLU) to reduce dependence on fossil fuels in the transportation sector.

5. Carbon Tax: Implement a carbon economic value policy to encourage industry to switch to low-emission technologies in accordance with Indonesia's Energy Transition Roadmap.

To date, Indonesia's progress towards SDGs 7 has shown a positive trend, particularly in the expansion of national electricity coverage, which has approached 100%.
