SDGs 1 (No Poverty) is the first goal in the UN's global agenda, aiming to eradicate poverty in all its forms everywhere by 2030. The primary target is to end poverty for those living on less than $1.90 per day. This includes not only income, but also ensuring access to basic services (health, education, clean water), social protection, and resilience to disasters or economic shocks. Indonesia has achieved approximately 62.5% of the total SDGs target by the end of 2024 and continues to accelerate towards 2030. Several key strategies implemented include:
1. Zero Extreme Poverty Target by 2026: The government has set an ambitious target to reduce extreme poverty to zero percent by 2026 through a transformative structural intervention approach.
2. Single Data Transformation (DTSN): Use of the National Socio-Economic Single Data to ensure better targeting of social assistance and minimize data duplication.
3. Productive Economic Empowerment: Shifting the paradigm from simply providing cash assistance (bansos) to empowerment through vocational training, strengthening the village economy through cooperatives, and providing job market access for vulnerable groups.
4. Green Economic Transformation: The Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs emphasized that the acceleration of the SDGs must be driven by inclusive and environmentally friendly economic growth to create new, sustainable jobs.
5. Expansion of the Social Security System: Strengthening the governance of social protection integrated with health and employment insurance.
