SDGs 5 (Gender Equality) aims to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls everywhere. This goal is not just a human right, but a crucial foundation for a peaceful and prosperous world. Its focus includes:

1. Elimination of Discrimination: End all forms of discrimination against women and girls worldwide.

2. Elimination of Violence: Eliminate all forms of violence, including human trafficking and sexual exploitation.

3. Participatory Leadership: Ensure full participation and equal opportunities for women to lead at all levels of decision-making (political, economic, and public).

4. Access to Reproductive Rights: Ensure universal access to sexual and reproductive health in accordance with the international agenda.

Indonesia is accelerating efforts through legal strengthening and economic empowerment, as follows:

1. Implementation of the TPKS Law: Law enforcement through the Sexual Violence Crime Law (TPKS) to provide comprehensive protection for victims and a deterrent effect for perpetrators.

2. Gender Mainstreaming (PUG): Requires ministries and local governments to integrate a gender perspective into every process of planning, budget preparation, and implementation (Gender Responsive Budgeting).

3. Women's Economic Empowerment: Encourage women-owned MSMEs through access to capital, such as the Mekaar program (PT PNM), which has proven crucial in reducing family poverty.

4. Child Marriage Reduction Campaign: Efforts to tighten marriage and education dispensations at the village level to ensure girls can complete at least 12 years of education.

5. Increasing Women's Representation in Parliament: Targeting a minimum of 30% female representation in politics to ensure more inclusive public policy.
